Winemaker’s notes:
Grapes are hand picked. Cold maceration in 12 hours after pressing. Aged 6 months in a bottle. The wine is unoaked.
Characteristics:
A fresh and young red wine with powerful ripe berries aroma. In a mouth it is a smooth wines with notes of ripe berries, currant jam and dried herbs. Aftertaste has a pleasant and balanced acidity and soft tannins.
Food pairing:
Red meat, steak, game, mature cheese. Serving temperature: 16-18°C/61-64F.
Father’s Wine:
Father’s Wine is a craft winery that was founded in 2010. It combines professionalism and an innovative approach to the wines. Winery has 4 hectares of their own vineyards with vines of 40 different varieties. Father’s Wine produces wine in very limited batches. The winery was named after the founder, Volodymyr Buyachko, who passed away in 2018 — his wife, daughter Oksana, and son Taras decided to continue Dad’s endeavours, turning a hobby into a life’s work.
Ternopil region:
Ternopil region is located in the Wester part of Ukraine and is famous for its castles, caves, nature, but not winemaking. At least until recently. Father’s Wine brought Ternopil region to the wine map. The terroir has favourable conditions for the maturation of white varieties with perfect acidity and is also very promising for red wines.
