Winemaker’s notes:
The Artania series was created according to the French principle of ‘household wine’ – a wine from different varieties and vineyards that are blended in one cuvée to show the style of the winery and the characteristics of the area where the grapes grow.
Characteristics:
Well balanced and aromatic cuvée oaked in French barrels. In the taste dominates spicy plums, vanilla and juicy cherries. Aftertaste has notes of strawberries and spices.
Food pairing:
Goes excellently with steaks and other meat dishes, and pâtés. Serving temperature: 16-18°C/60-64F.
Beykush Winery:
Beykush Winery, the most award-winning winery in Ukraine, is lying on 11-hectare plot on the Beykush peninsula of the Black Sea. It is surrounded by the sea on three sides, which works as a great natural air conditioner, softening the climate in dry years, and the wind reduces significantly the risk of fungal vine diseases. There are mostly French and Italian grape varieties, but also some experimental vineyards with Alvarinho, Timorasso and Tempranillo, Pinotage and local Telti-Kuruk.
Mykolaiv region:
Mykolaiv wine region has vineyards of 15 thousand ha. It belongs to the wider Black Sea Wine region which is made up of Odessa, Kherson and Mykolaiv itself. The climate in the region is warm in the summer and mild in the winter. Warm and moderately humid autumn enables the normal development and ripeness of grapes and dry periods before harvesting allow to obtain high-quality grapes.
