Vinhol Oksamitnoe LTD or simply Villa Tinta is a family estate winery established in 1998. The winery is located in Oksamitnoe village in Bolgrad district which is next to Rumania.
This area is called Danubian Bessarabia, the shores of vineyards are washed by the River Karakurt at one side and the Lake of Yalpug on the other side.
Vineyards consist of 500 hectares of French and Italian white varieties – Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, and reds – Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Bastardo and Georgian grape – Saperavi.
Villa Tinta has also Ukrainian indigenous grapes such as white Sukholimansky and red Odesa Black which are the most important and distinguished varieties in Odesa area.
Total volume of production in 2022 was 200 000 bottles. However Villa Tinta’s winemakers have great expectations for reaching 1 million bottles in coming years.
Wines are in different ranges, starting with simple table wines and ending with oak aged reds. There is also semi-dry wine range and sparkling wines.
Vinhol Oksamitnoe has won several awards in Ukrainian and international competitions.
