Just after the war began, we sat down and thought how we can best help Ukraine. Martin and I are in the wine business. Does Ukraine produce good wines? It is a large country (the biggest in Europe) with a very varied climate.
In April we visited Ukraine for a wine tour. We were mightily were we surprised by the Ukrainian passion for wine. A wonderful Chardonnay-Riesling from the coast of the Black Sea, a silky smooth Cabernet Sauvignon from foothills of the Carpathian Mountains, Amphora wines, Orange wines, Pet Nat, you name it, the Ukrainians have made a great version of it.
We are very proud to introduce Ukrainian quality wines to Europe and the World. A country with 2500 years of winemaking history has hidden its wines for long enough.
By buying Ukrainian wines, you are helping the country get back on its feet. Win-win.
