Winemaker’s notes:
\n<\/b>Lerici Al Mar Nero is the only Timorasso grape variatel wine that is outside its native Piedmont, Italy. Beykush Timorasso grapes are grown on the sunny shores of the Black Sea, Ukraine. The name – Lerici – is a name of an old castle in nowadays Ochakiv, that was founded by Genoese sailors in XIV century.<\/p>\n

Beykush Timorasso grapes are hand-picked and matured gracefully in French oak barrels for 15 months.<\/p>\n

Characteristics:
\n<\/b>Beautiful and aromatic white wine is made 100% of Timorasso grapes. The aroma is fruity and floral, with delicate flowers and yellow plums and other stone fruits. There are also nutty undertones – toasted almonds and slightly spicy elemnts from black cardamom. The palate is rich, structured and elegant reflecting Black Sea coastal terroir. Wine is full-bodied and textured, fresh and slightly oily. Yellow plum, ripe pear and white peach flavours are dominant with noticeable minerality that gives clean, lingering finish and excellent food-pairing ability.<\/p>\n

Lerici is a serious wine and is a greate alternative to high-end northern Italian whites.<\/p>\n

Food pairing:
\n<\/b>Beykush Timorasso al Mar Nero wine pairs beautifully with grilled fish and shellfish, white meats and creamy seafood risotto. Serving temperature: 10-14\u00b0C\/50-57F.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Beykush Winery:
\n<\/strong>Beykush Winery, the most award-winning winery in Ukraine, is lying on 11-hectare plot on the Beykush peninsula of the Black Sea. It is surrounded by the sea on three sides, which works as a great natural air conditioner, softening the climate in dry years, and the wind reduces significantly the risk of fungal vine diseases. There are mostly French and Italian grape varieties, but also some experimental vineyards with Alvarinho, Timorasso and Tempranillo, Pinotage and local Telti-Kuruk.<\/p>\n

Mykolaiv region:
\n<\/strong>Mykolaiv wine region has vineyards of 15 thousand ha. It belongs to the wider Black Sea Wine region which is made up of Odessa, Kherson and Mykolaiv itself. The climate in the region is warm in the summer and mild in the winter. Warm and moderately humid autumn enables the normal development and ripeness of grapes and dry periods before harvesting allow to obtain high-quality grapes.<\/p>\n
